Individual counseling is a process through which you work one-on-one with me as a trained mental health counselor in a safe, caring and confidential environment. This form of counseling can help you deal with many personal topics in life—such as anxiety and stress as well as life challenges and transitions. Counseling allows you to explore your feelings, beliefs and behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of your life that you would like to change, better understand yourself and others, set personal goals and work toward desired change.
Individual counseling offers you an opportunity to receive support and experience growth during challenging times in life, focused on your immediate or near future concerns, as a personal and private discussion between you and me. Together we form an alliance, relationship, or bond that enables trust and personal growth. In general, my goal in individual counseling is to help you talk through your mental health concerns so you heal, grow, and move toward a more productive, psychologically healthy life.
